UPDATE: ZORI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!! Through a series of amazing events, Zori was able to be adopted by the family who adopted her originally! We are so happy she is re-united with a loving home!
It is hard to see pets day-in and day-out who are very sick. Many of these pets have owners that do not have the financial means to take care of these animals. “Zori” was one of these unfortunate pets that got a second chance due to the compassion of one of our technicians, Heidi.
“Zori” has been with us at PAH for almost a year. She was adopted at one point but the family later had to give her up due to the loss of their house and other financial constraints. She had a loving home with a family including two older children and another dog friend named “Chyna”. Both “Zori” and “Chyna” ended up with us but “Chyna” has since found a home which left “Zori” all alone.
Going for walks and running in the park are two of her favorite activities. Heidi has become “Zori’s” surrogate mom and tries to take her out daily for some fun time. When they come back, “Zori” is tuckered out and usually takes a nap in Heidi’s lap. Snuggling is another one of “Zori’s favorite past times.
Although she is loved by the staff at PAH, we know she would be happier in a forever home. “Zori” is a sweet 2-3 year old bully mix with energy to spare. She has been spayed, is up-to-date on her vaccines, and is on flea and heartworm preventions. She has gone through training with Pet Peeves Training and knows basic commands. “Zori’s” loving nature can sometimes be too much for cats and small children so we suggest that she be placed in a house without these elements.
